Nakedness around StKilda
Not much has changed around stkilda in the last 65 years,
People think streaking was a 1960s thing, looks like their grannies and grandpas loved a bit of skin on the beach too

Women to invade male swimmers' nude refuge
For the first time in 30 years Middle Park beach baths, sacred nude bathing place for men, were invaded yesterday by an inspector, who bluntly told the men: "Put some clothes on."
Startled males, accustomed for years to the freedom of nudity in their regular swim, obeyed—by wearing a towel to the water's edge, then swimming in the nude.
One Victorian M.P., a regular visitor, soon started a rebellion against the order.
"Be blowed to it. Some of us have been swimming here in the nude since we were boys," he said.
But their days of freedom are numbered.
Mr. H. Alexander, South Melbourne town clerk, said he had no knowledge of in- spectors being told to make bathers wear clothing.
"The baths are expected to revert to mixed bathing in the new year, so the men will have to get used to wearing something — but no steps have been taken in that direction yet," he said.
Council had already amended a by-law to permit mixed bathing, but it had yet to be approved by the Governor in Council, he said.
Mr. Jim O'Leary, who leases the baths, said: "I have been told by council inspectors that bathers will have to be worn from now
on.
"The boys have had plenty of warning. The council has erected two big signs outside the baths stating 'costumes must be worn at all times in these baths'."
